Splatter Box Participation Policies & Conditions
These Participation Policies & Conditions are incorporated by reference into the Splatter Box Waiver and Release of Liability. By signing the waiver and/or participating in any Splatter Box activity, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following:
1. Waiver Requirement
All participants must have a completed and signed Waiver and Release of Liability on file prior to entering the splatter zone or participating in any activity.
For participants under 18 years of age, the waiver must be completed by a parent or legal guardian.
Participants without a valid waiver on file will not be permitted to participate.
2. Minor Supervision & Drop-Off Policy
Splatter Box is an active, high-energy art environment.

Splatter Box does not provide individual child supervision.

Children may not be dropped off unless the event is a private booking where the booking adult has arranged supervision.

Parents or guardians are strongly encouraged to remain on-site during all activities involving minors.

Adults are permitted to participate in painting activities unless otherwise restricted.
Responsibility for supervision of minors remains solely with the parent, guardian, or responsible adult.
3. Paint & Activity Risks
Splatter Box activities involve the use of liquid paint and art tools.

Paint may splatter or come into contact with clothing, shoes, skin, hair, personal items, or property.

While paint is washable, staining may occur depending on fabric type, material, or washing method.

Participants assume all risks associated with paint exposure and splatter.
Participants agree to:

Walk at all times (no running)

Use equipment only as intended

Follow all verbal and posted instructions from Splatter Box staff
Failure to comply with safety rules may result in removal from the activity area without refund.
4. Food & Beverage Restrictions
For safety and sanitation reasons:

Only cake, cupcakes, and bottled drinks are permitted.

Food and drinks must remain outside of the splatter zone.

Outside meals, pizza, catering, or food trays are not permitted inside the studio.
Splatter Box reserves the right to restrict or remove food items that do not comply with this policy.
5. Shared Space & Timing
Splatter Box operates as a shared facility unless otherwise specified.
Participants agree to:

Arrive and depart within their scheduled time

Clear personal items promptly at the conclusion of the event

Be respectful of other guests and groups
Failure to adhere to scheduled times may impact other events and may result in additional charges.
6. Assumption of Risk & Enforcement
By participating in any Splatter Box activity, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with splatter painting and agree to comply with all posted and verbal policies.
Splatter Box reserves the right to:

Enforce these policies at its discretion

Deny participation to anyone who fails to comply

Remove participants for safety or policy violations
7. Acknowledgment
By signing the Splatter Box Waiver and Release of Liability, you confirm that you have reviewed these Participation Policies & Conditions and agree that they are binding.
8. Assumption of Risk & Release of Liability
Participation in Splatter Box activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to slipping, falling, collision with objects or other participants, contact with paint or equipment, and physical exertion.
By participating, or by allowing a minor to participate, you voluntarily assume all risks, known and unknown, foreseeable and unforeseeable, associated with participation in Splatter Box activities.
Participants and parents/guardians expressly release, waive, and discharge Splatter Box, its owners, employees, contractors, agents, and representatives from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to participation, including but not limited to:

Personal injury

Illness

Property damage
-
Emotional distress
-
Losses caused by negligence (to the fullest extent permitted by law)
9. Parental Responsibility for Minors
Parents and legal guardians acknowledge and agree that:

They are solely responsible for determining whether participation is appropriate for their child.

They assume full responsibility for supervision, conduct, and safety of any minor in their care.

Splatter Box staff are not acting in a supervisory, custodial, or childcare capacity.
Parents and guardians agree to indemnify and hold harmless Splatter Box from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from the actions, injuries, or participation of their child.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Splatter Box shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of participation in activities, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Participation is entirely voluntary, and participants agree that any injury or loss is their sole responsibility.
Splatter Box reserves the right to remove any participant for safety or policy violations, and such removal does not entitle the participant to any refund or compensation.
11. Governing Law & Severability
These policies shall be governed by the laws of the State of Oregon.
If any portion of these policies is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
